What is Raytec?

Raytec is a Northumberland-based manufacturer that designs and builds specialist LED lighting solutions for a range of industries worldwide. Its products are used in applications such as CCTV and Automatic Number Plate Recognition (ANPR) systems, as well as in hazardous environments where there is a risk of explosion.

Students will learn about the journey from concept to production, explore how specialist lighting solutions are developed to meet real-world challenges, and gain an insight into the skills and technologies used in modern manufacturing.
