Showing Northumberland’s young people what’s possible on their doorstep.
Connect Inspires is a career inspiration programme developed by Connect Northumberland that connects local employers with young people across the county through real workplace visits, hands-on activities and direct engagement with the people who work there. Free to participate in and open to schools across Northumberland, the programme gives students a genuine insight into the industries and career paths available right where they live.
Everything we do is focused on three things:
- Helping young people understand what careers are available in Northumberland
- Showing them that those careers are accessible – and local
- Giving them the confidence and inspiration to go after them
For our employers, it’s an opportunity to engage directly with their local community, develop their future talent pipeline and give their own people a chance to grow. Inspiring the generation coming up behind them.
